National dishes

The purpose of this report is to depict the different dishes that chile offers.
In chile it's often to have at least 3 or 4 meals per day. That is breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (like the british)and dinner.

Chilean meals are not too difficult to prepare, and not as seasoned as peruviuan meal. But you can find an enormous variety of dishes such as; cazuela, empanadas, pastel de choclo, humitas, anticuchos, cordero al palo, ensalada a la chilena, porotos granados, sopaipillas, mote con huesillo,etc. You can find to many seafood dishes as well. for example; machas, choritos, centolla, reineta, salmon, jurel,etc.

Also chile offers a great quality of wines and fruits, that are recognized in the world.

So if you want to try any of those dishes you have the possibility to find in santiago a vast variety of restaurants that can offer within chilean food to ethic chilean food.

Nothing can be done to safe the environment.

This statement is absolutely false, a lot can be done to safe the environment. It's time for us to take this matter seriously, because in the future there will not be a healthy planet for our children.

First of all, we've got to change our currently suplies such as; gas, diesel,kerosene. all product derived from petoleum into using clean energies such as; wind power,solar energy, hydro-electric power, or at least use ethanol like in brazil.

So, I think we must start teaching our children the importance of maintainig a clean earth. 'cause it seems adults doesn't understand anything at all.

Many things can be done in our homes and our school in order to care our planet such as leaving glass bottles, paper, cardboard,etc. In the right place. For example if you have some beer bottles, empty ofcourse!! you can chuck them into the recycling bin. And believe it or not!! You will be helping to protect our planet.

I think it's a great way to protest in a funnier way than usual because it's not good being always furious at demanding better conditions, in this case moving the Heathrow airport. Also I believe that if you want to demand something you shouldn' t resort to using violence. you can link more people if you make these protests with musicians, famous people, dressing funny, etc.

With regard to they are asking for, it's the real truth that climate change does exist and if we want our children can enjoy a healthy earth we've got to avoid these kind of edification.

Cueca Chilena.

Cueca is a dance which requires a couple, one man and a woman. It is the national dance of Chile.And it was officially selected in 1979.
Many people think it is unclear where its origins are from, but I dare say it was born in Perú that was originally called "Zamacueca" and it has spanish and above all african influences.

It all began in Lima when mixed races and creoles people created it in 1824. Then, this music started to spread in South America - Especially, in Chile,Bolivia and Argentina.

After all, it was modified by "los huasos chilenos" and they gave it a special ingredient so that its lyrics were about the daily life in Chile.


So, the time passed by and it cAme back to Perú again, what we can call it a second plagiarism because the first was made by chileans. It's hard to believe , but it is the real truth.


Anyway, we have to accept the past ,focus on da present and not stress about the future. Don't know where I saw this, but it sounds cool hehehe.

Victor Hugo. A normal person in a strange world:) was born on the 13th aug, 1986, Santiago. He studies at ucinf university.

If it's god's will I'll become a teacher of english. It would be cool!! cos teaching is funny and a very difficult job. If I'm a teacher one day, I'm not going to be like the boring teachers. 'cos you know when students get bored it's not due to the subject is being taught. It is that the way in which it is taught. I hope you catch the idea!! :)

Anyway, when I finish my degree, I'd like to travel abroad. obviously, I'll have to save some money before going!! And improve my english and who knows learn another language though, I know it'll be difficult 'cos learning english has not been a piece of cake for me.
